"I've really enjoyed working with others schools taking part and sharing ideas with them. I enjoyed the badge assignments and felt proud that we finally achieved all our Digital Leader badges. I have learnt so many new skills such as how to be a good leader."

What are Digital Leaders?
The term 'Digital Leaders' refers to pupils with specific responsibility for developing and improving the way that technology is used across school. If you are interested in finding out more about Digital Leaders, my blog post here explains more.
Why register for North West Digital Leader School 2021/22?
The North West Digital Leader School programme enables each Digital Leader pupil, with the support of their lead member of staff, to plan and prepare each aspect of their Digital Leader work within school. Programme Overview
Pre Program twilight session (DL coordinators / staff only):
Date: SUMMER TERM (prior)
Getting ready
The programme will start with an after school twilight for Digital Leader coordinators. This will provide them with key information about the programme and introduce them to ideas and tips for effectively recruiting and selecting their Digital Leader team, in readiness for session 1.
Session 1:
Creating a plan of action
Date: AUTUMN TERM 2 (date and venue tbc)
Time: TBC
In this first session, schools will join the North West Digital Leader School online platform. This safe and secure online space will provide them with the opportunity to collaborate, support and communicate ideas outside of the workshop sessions. Through the online platform, they will be introduced to the Digital Leader badge assignments, which provide the basis for achieving Digital Leader accreditation. Linked to these assignments, schools will develop their own bespoke action plans. The Digital Leaders will also be given training on key software and apps that will help them to implement their plans to full effect.
Session 2:
Exploring key software and apps
Date: SPRING TERM 1 (date and venue tbc)
Time: TBC
During the second session, schools will feedback what they have done so far within their schools, including any of the badge assignments they have achieved so far. Time will be spent exploring key software and apps in more detail, modifying action plans and uploading evidence for any Digital Leader badges covered. Teachers and Digital Leaders will leave session two with a clear focus as to what they will further need to do once back in their schools in order to complete the programme.
Session 3:
Celebrating success
Date: SUMMER TERM 2 (date and venue tbc)
Time: TBC
During this final session, schools will be required to deliver a formal presentation, showcasing their successes throughout the year and evidencing that they have achieved all badge assignments. Pupils will become fully certified Digital Leaders.
Total Cost: £395 per school
Schools will need to bring one member of staff, who will act as their school's Digital Leader coordinator
and between 4 - 8 pupils, who will be their school Digital Leader Team.
