iPads
I have developed a particular expertise in using iPads in the classroom and as a tool for enhancing teaching and learning. I can provide training which is based on my own experiences of having successfully integrated the use of an iPad and sets of iPads within my own teaching.
Support could focus on;
- 'The 'paperless classroom' - using iPads to develop a work flow model between pupils and teacher (e.g. using Seesaw)
- Using the iPad as part of an effective assessment for learning model
- Mobile device training - e.g. deploying a school 1:1 device system / utilising iPad's within the classroom effectively
- Using iPad apps to support pupil's with SEN / AEN
- Using iPad apps to support writing
- Using iPads as part of guided reading
- Getting the most out of the iPads accessibility tools
- Using iPads in EYFS or KS1
- Creating and using QR codes
- Using Augmented Reality to create pupil voiced, evidence based, interactive displays
- Using your iPad as a classroom management tool (e.g. using Apple Classroom)
Chromebooks Setup and Support for Schools *New for 2025/26
I offer tailored support to help schools set up and make the most of their Chromebooks, ensuring these devices are fully optimised for teaching and learning. Whether through hands-on staff training or targeted consultancy, I work with teachers and support staff to build confidence and practical skills in using their Chromebooks effectively. This empowers them to integrate technology seamlessly into their lessons, enhancing pupil engagement and achievement.
As well as staff training, support can also be given to working 1:1 with your Computing subject leader (or other staff members); providing consultancy support and advice on iPad / Chromebook deployment and integration throughout school.
